Headquartered in Austin, TX, Texas High Energy Materials was founded in 2009 by Al Perez after tremendous success in R & D, Sales and Marketing at leading aerospace, automotive and chemical companies. He carefully selected his team of talented scientists. They bring a diverse background in highly sought after technologies and their problem solving skills are unmatched.
Al has over 33 years of experience successfully researching and developing highly sought after products for the automotive, military, and aerospace industries. He specializes in polymer chemistry and has developed a wide range of composites, sealants, lubricants, and adhesives for ballistic, marine, and aerospace purposes. His success led him to found Texas High Energy Materials while partnering with some of the brightest minds in the industry. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Wayne State University in 1991, and a Master of Science Degree in Chemistry from Texas State University in 2005.
Aaron Collins received his Bachelor of Science in Physics from Texas State University in 2015. When he joined Texas High Energy Materials, he continued to develop and perform reliability and quality testing on current and future products. His extensive work at Texas State University provided experience with a wide range of testing equipment, as well as various software packages. He continues to provide Texas High Energy Materials with his innovation and forward thinking mindset.
